Zane Grey

Also known as: Zane Gray

Like the other reef Liberty ships, it was cut down to deck level before sinking, removing the superstructure. NC Wreck Diving found cooler water below the thermocline and noted mussels and tautog, species typical of the colder northern waters. The reef lies about 5.7 nautical miles from the Oregon Inlet sea buoy.
