Shark Arena
Also known as: La Fosse · Snake Canyon
Waves breaking against the island make the shallow canyon at its base feel like a washing machine, with strong current and surge. My Base often counts 15 to 20 grey reef sharks in the arena and sometimes a large barracuda at the entrance, while PADI mentions up to around 30 sharks. Swimming away from the arena leads to impressive drop-offs. PADI considers it suitable only for advanced divers unless the sea is very calm.
