Olympia Wreck

Also known as: Olympia

The Formigas banks have claimed many ships over the centuries, and the Olympia, a Greek cargo vessel wrecked on 16 June 1921, is the most recent of them. What remains of it lies on the southwestern slope of the islets at 30 to 50 m. Azores Choice offers this dive to divers holding Advanced Open Water certification. The wreck lies within the Formigas nature reserve.
