Tacorón
Also known as: Punta de Tacorón
Tacorón is a lava point whose flows created a set of natural swimming pools on the shore. The dive begins on the steeper face of the point and levels out onto sand patches around 20 m with garden eels. Divers then work back along the rocky edge to an arch at about 7 m that opens into the pools. Small caves hide spiny pufferfish, and parrotfish, trumpetfish, small groupers and schools of grunts are typical. Because the area is well protected it is recommended for new divers and anyone who prefers shallow, calm diving.
