Super Mystère B2

Also known as: Le Super Mystère

Two Super Mystère jets collided over Porquerolles in January 1969; one was refloated for study and then sunk off Cap Cépet. The wreck lies in two parts, an engine and the upside-down fuselage, and moving between them is not easy. The bottom slopes away quickly and visibility is often limited, so the dive needs care. Toulon Plongée mentions giant crustaceans such as spiny lobsters and lobsters, and warns of fishing nets.
