Bucador Wreck
Also known as: Le Bucador
Launched in 1946 as the Tyro, the ship first traded along northern European coasts and later carried cement around the Mediterranean under the name Bucador. It sank while sailing in ballast from Fiumicino to Porto Torres, and its five crew reached the shore safely. The wreck lies on its starboard side with the front two thirds crushed, while the propeller, the rudder and the riveted iron hull are still clearly visible. The water around Cavallo is remarkably clear.
