Fraser Cove

Also known as: West Cove

Fraser Cove is dived when the prevailing northwest winds calm down. Along the rocky point, channels and grooves in the reef hold bat rays, lingcod, rockfish, sun stars, chestnut cowries and nudibranchs. Closer to shore are jumbled boulders and holes, including a large cavern called Crombie's Hole, while the sand and gravel in the middle of the cove is good halibut ground. Lobsters live among the inshore rocks, but surge can make the shallows rough.
