Het Huis te Kraaiestein
Also known as: Het Huis te Kraaienstein · Het Huis te Kraaienstjin
The 1,154 ton ship was trying to find the entrance to Table Bay with 19 chests of silver coins on board, of which only 16 were ever accounted for. Today two large cannons lie in a V at the end of a gap between boulders, with more cannons partly buried in the sand and several anchors nearby. The remains are heavily overgrown and hard to find without directions. The surrounding kelp forest holds shysharks, rock lobster, nudibranchs, bream, roman and klipfish. Divers usually enter at Sandy Cove.
