Sandbox (Opal Reef)

Sandbox sits on the edge of a channel, with sandy patches leading up into the shallows. The coral changes from deeper boulder corals to huge gardens of staghorn coral with giant clams. Pelagic species patrol the deep side, while large schools of reef fish fill the shallows. In calm weather, divers can swim out to deeper bommies with schooling red bass, trevally and barracuda.
