Horseshoe (Thetford Reef)
Horseshoe is made of five coral outcrops set in a horseshoe shape. Swim-throughs and chasms between them lead to two big canyons decorated with gorgonian fans. Turtles, Maori wrasse, giant trevally, chevron barracuda, sweetlips and fusiliers are all reported here, along with several kinds of clownfish. The shallows at the back of the site are suitable for snorkellers.
