Caves (Norman Reef)

Caves is a bay site with two deep walls framing it, which suit more experienced divers. Blue and yellow devilfish sit under coral ledges along the walls, and the bay holds many anemonefish, blue-spotted stingrays, cuttlefish and cardinalfish. The resident giant Maori wrasse, known to the crews as Wally, often comes close to divers. A small cave is marked on the site map, but Deep Sea Divers Den no longer encourages swimming through it because access is restricted.
