Karpata
Karpata lies where the one-way section of the coastal road ends and is entered by a staircase. The reef is healthy, with elkhorn coral reaching from about 3 m to the surface and steep buttresses cut by sand channels. Huge old ship anchors are embedded in the coral, which makes the site a favourite for wide-angle photography. Barracuda patrol the blue and sea turtles graze nearby. Diving is not allowed in the reserve that starts on the north side, so divers head south from the entry.
