Shark Mountain
Shark Mountain rises next to the Playground site like a mountain range set off from the main reef. Divers can circle the whole formation, and a small wreck lies hidden at about 10 metres on its northern wall. Grey reef sharks are common, very large starfish cover the reef, and big schools of bumphead parrotfish pass by. Small reef octopus live in the inner valley among healthy corals and feather stars. Strong tidal currents can run along the outside of the mountain.
