Margaruque
Also known as: Magaruque · Ilha Magaruque · Magaruque Island
At low tide the top of the reef is dry, and it drops as a wall to a sandy channel at about 10 m. The wall holds parrotfish, trumpetfish, lionfish, butterflyfish, angelfish and dense shoals of moonies, while octopus and crayfish hide in the cracks. Small rays rest on the sand at its foot, dolphins sometimes pass along the channel, and large brindle bass are a known surprise. At the change of the tide the current picks up into what operators call the 'Margaruque Express'.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
