El Peñón Aquarium
Also known as: The Aquarium II
Diving Dominican Republic calls this site the Aquarium II and notes that it is often confused with the Aquarium off Catalina Island. It lies close to El Peñón, and the two are usually dived together on trips towards Saona and the natural pool. Blue Dreams Diving counts the 'Acuario' as one of three dive sites on the El Peñón reef. Colourful corals and plenty of reef fish are the attraction, with good chances of turtles, stingrays and occasionally sharks.
