Two Mile Reef
Also known as: 2 Mile Reef
The reef runs along the west coast north of Adara, in front of the villages of Iliana and Arlo. Off Iliana the wall begins close to shore, dressed in soft corals and big sponges, with schooling snappers, surgeonfish, fusiliers and trevally. Further south the wall opens to a sandy slope with green and hawksbill turtles, barracuda, eagle rays, dogtooth tuna and Spanish mackerel. Off Arlo, the section called Amphitheater, a few impressive overhangs carry brightly coloured soft corals and bluefin and giant trevally hunt along the wall. South of the Arlo entry a pinnacle at about 25 m can bring bumphead parrotfish, Napoleon wrasse and dogtooth tuna for experienced divers.
