Ponta Sul is the southern tip of Ilha dos Porcos, a short boat ride from Praia dos Anjos. A 2017 study of the marine reserve lists it among the main sites, which together carry about 90 % of the roughly 25,000 dives made in the area each year. Travel guides describe clear, fairly shallow water that suits underwater photography. The nearby Canyon is named as a deeper alternative.
