Daryl Laut

Also known as: Dari-Laut · Darilaut

The barge was built in Thailand as a floating hostel and later operated in Anilao as a floating resort until a fire sank it. It came to rest on a slope, so its framework runs from about 12 metres down to beyond 45 metres. Girders, roof sheets and lifting gear are covered in tunicates, cup corals, sponges, soft corals and black coral. Friendly batfish and spadefish school around the wreck, while frogfish, octopus and mushroom coral pipefish hide on it. The rubble slope back to the shallows can hold blue-ringed octopus and electric clams.
