Yarabuzaki Corner
Also known as: 屋良部崎コーナー (Japanese) · Yarabe Corner
The cape sticks out into open water, so it is well flushed and pelagic fish are seen especially in winter. The reef top is bare rock with stepped, block-like formations that remind divers of underwater ruins, and there is hardly any coral. In winter divers often wait at 5 to 10 m for blackfin barracuda, dogtooth tuna and Napoleon wrasse. The wall at about 25 to 30 m carries large sea fans. Encounters are hit or miss and the current can be very strong.
