Waitii Ridge
The dive follows a coral ridge where turtles and schools of fish pass, and after about half an hour climbs slowly up a seamount. Its top of staghorn and potato coral is crowded with anthias and damselfish, while banded sea snakes forage between the corals. Saron and mantis shrimp, banded pipefish, leaf fish and stonefish are seen here regularly. A pair of anemonefish guarding their young is a well-known resident.
