Waterfall Bay
Waterfall Bay takes its name from the waterfall that pours over the cliffs on its southern side, and the sea caves continue under the waterline. Besides the large Cathedral Cave system the bay holds smaller caves, including one directly beneath the waterfall that can be swum as a loop. Between the caves the bottom is made of boulders and sponge-covered reef, with kelp in the shallows near the falls. Weedy seadragons are regularly found, and the bay is also dived at night when octopus and rock lobster are active. The caves cannot be dived in heavy swell, because the surge and noise inside become dangerous.
