Fossil Bay
Towards the Fossil Cliffs the bottom drops quickly from 8 to 10 metres into 15 to 20 metres, while the cliffs further north-east are fringed by reef at 5 to 12 metres. Large underwater caverns and tunnels reach far into the limestone cliffs and are a must for divers with a boat. Boulders fallen from the cliffs shelter delicate marine life, and sea sweep, trumpeter and butterfly perch school along the shore. Visibility is often good and the seaweed grows thick.
