Eddystone Rock
Around the main group of rocks lie wave-swept ledges of bull kelp that can be dangerous in a heavy swell. Below, a weed garden at 6 metres drops quickly to a sparser bottom at 15 metres around the island, while the shallow western channel holds a broad, rich weed garden. Banded morwong, leatherjackets, trumpeter and groups of boarfish are common, and rock lobster and abalone hide below. There is no local dive operator, so divers need their own boat.
