WAPA

WAPA takes its name from the Water and Power Authority plant on the shore opposite this part of Long Reef. Sloping coral is cut by sand chutes, and patch-style coral heads lie at about 45 to 55 feet. The Coral Restoration Foundation is restoring coral in the shallow parts of the site. Lobster and nurse sharks are regular sightings, a large anchor covered in soft coral lies on the reef, and dolphins, eagle rays and Caribbean reef sharks also pass by.
