Virgin Islander

The Virgin Islander is the biggest wreck in Butler Bay and part of the shallow wreck dive together with the Suffolk Maid and the Northwind. Its average depth is about 50 feet. Sponges and corals cover the barge, including small pink Stylaster fans and golden cup corals, along with sea fans and tubeworms. Schools of snapper and chub swim around it, several large groupers are resident, and stingrays hide in the sand beneath the hull.
