Swirling Reef of Death

The Swirling Reef of Death lies minutes south of the Frederiksted Pier and has some of the calmest water on the island. Around the mooring, coral patches surrounded by white sand make good photo subjects, and Nep2une describes lots of schooling fish in about 25 to 50 feet. Heading west, divers reach a drop-off that continues to about 100 feet before turning to sand, with healthy corals, sponges, tropical fish and turtles. Nep2une keeps the story behind the name for its divers.
