Suffolk Maid

The steel-hulled trawler Suffolk Maid was cleaned, gutted and towed to Butler Bay after the hurricane, then scuttled in December 1985. She now sits upright on the sand a few hundred yards south of the Rosaomaira and about a hundred yards north of the Northwind. Divers can still make out the name on her bow. Creole wrasse are the main residents and a green moray visits from time to time. DeeperBlue rates her as the most interesting of the Butler Bay shallow wrecks.
