Superman's Flight
Also known as: Superman Flight
The site sits where Petit Piton plunges into the sea, and the cliff above was used for a scene in Superman II. Long-shore currents concentrate at the western point of the Piton, so divers are dropped in and drift south with the boat following above, which gives the site its feeling of flight. The slope is covered with plate, brain and soft corals, sea fans and large sponges. Creole wrasse, pufferfish and lobsters are seen in numbers, and dive guides report occasional sightings of whale sharks and humpback whales passing by. Operators dive it either at a steady middle depth or as a deeper multilevel profile.
