Tapu

Also known as: Tapu Canyons

Tapu lies on the outer slope west of Bora Bora and is named after the motu used to find it. The reef is cut by canyons and paths that can be explored in several ways. Bora Diving Center lists blacktip reef sharks, lionfish, jacks, barracudas and the famous lemon sharks. Tahiti Tourisme also mentions grey sharks, turtles and manta rays. Wannadive gives a maximum of 30 m and little current.
