Fa'a Miti
Also known as: Faa Miti
Fa'a Miti lies off the north of Huahine, the only stretch of coast without a lagoon, so visibility is usually excellent. Divers enter over a huge coral garden of large porites between 12 and 25 m. Closer to shore a wall from 10 to 5 m forms overhangs with moray eels and lionfish, and above it small canyons have been polished by the swell. Blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, turtles and clownfish are common, and the site is usually sheltered from swell, wind and current.
