Pulau Paku Besar
Also known as: Pulau Paku Besar South
Paku Besar lies a short boat ride from the resorts of Pasir Panjang, next to its smaller twin Paku Kecil. Snorkellers use it a lot, but redang.org notes that the reef and the sand around it also keep divers happy. Razorfish in schools, pipefish and other animals that live on the bottom are found on the sand. The reef has staghorn, brain and mushroom corals, Tubastrea and Turbinaria, along with giant clams, shrimps and crabs.
