Batu Layar
Also known as: Sail Rock
The top of the reef patch lies at around 10 m, and the slope reaches sand at about 18 m. Boulder corals dominate the east of the patch and staghorn corals the west, and big table corals are spread over it. Barracuda are a common sight, as are blacktip reef sharks and hawksbill turtles, and bamboo sharks often rest under the table corals. Bumphead parrotfish and eagle rays visit now and then. A relaxed lap around the whole reef takes about 50 minutes, leaving time to explore the top.
