Banc d'Ankarea
Also known as: Banc Ankarea · Ankarea Bank
The plateau is covered with coral and attracts large schools of fusiliers and unicornfish. Turtles are common. Pelagic visitors pass regularly, including kingfish and jacks, and whitetip and grey reef sharks are seen. Cruise operators combine it with a stop at the white sand beach of Nosy Ankarea.
