Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills lies on the outer reef roughly 10 km south-west of the Tantabiddi boat ramp and is a highlight of local west-side trips. Dense coral structures rise from the sand, and the site is large enough to fill several dives. Its best known feature is the bait crack, a swim-through full of glass fish that leads through a cave and opens on top of the reef. Coral trout and Rankin cod hunt baitfish here, and reef sharks and larger pelagic fish are common. The site is exposed to current and swell and is often dived as a drift.
