Sampaguita

Also known as: Sampaquita

Sampaguita begins where the Tongo dive ends, at a roped-off area that forms Moalboal's southern marine sanctuary. Once divers drift inside, larger fish such as emperors, mackerel and tuna become noticeable. The dive follows a deep wall lined with small caves, where turtles often rest, and leaf fish and harlequin ghost pipefish are also seen. The reef top holds impressive staghorn coral, and mandarinfish live among the corals. Parts of the reef are exposed at low tide, so Neptune advises checking the depth before a backward roll entry.
