Nakanoshima Hole

Also known as: Nakanoshima Hall · 中の島ホール (Japanese)

Divers descend slowly through the shaft, which makes ear equalisation the main challenge, and then exit through a long tunnel onto a wide sandy area outside. Pale blue sunlight streams down from the opening, and shops compare the rock outline to a cartoon profile. Flame file shells glow in torchlight inside, and the shallow reef has schooling fish and macro life. Manta rays, Napoleon wrasse, turtles and dogtooth tuna are occasionally seen.
