Marine Lake

Also known as: 蜂の巣ホール (Japanese) · マリンレイク (Japanese)

From the reef, divers enter a cave with two large rooms and holes in the ceiling that let in sunbeams, then continue to a pond of mixed fresh and sea water with a visible chemocline. BIGHOLIDAY calls it the best laser-beam site of the islands, visible all year in the third section on clear days. The cave is long and complex but shallow, so it is popular with beginners and photographers. Sweepers, bigeyes and soldierfish school inside, and anemonefish live on the approach.
