Ichinose Drop
Also known as: 一の瀬ドロップ (Japanese)
The reef top lies at about 6 m and the wall falls away to around 45 m, with pinnacles such as the 'Pyramid Rock' standing offshore. Diver-sized sea fans and spiral whip corals grow on the rocks. Dogtooth tuna, giant trevally and spotted eagle rays circle when the tide is right, and fringed anthias and other rare species live in deep cracks. The current can be strong at times.
