Pedra de Déu
Pedra de Déu sits off the north-east tip of Meda Gran, sheltered from southerly winds. A pinnacle covered in yellow gorgonians drops to around 20 m, and from there vertical walls and canyons carpeted with Paramuricea fans continue to roughly 45 m. Large groupers and camouflaged scorpionfish are common, and damselfish and sea bream swarm around the fans. Eagle rays pass in the blue and sunfish are seen here more easily than at other Medes sites in season. At the deepest point a couple of small caves hold lobsters and red coral, and the dive usually ends on a shallow platform near the boat.
