Les Ancres
Also known as: Passe bandrélé - Les ancres
The site lies in the middle of the Bandrélé pass, one of the channels through Mayotte's outer barrier reef. Three old anchors resting on top of each other give the dive its name and its main landmark. The vertical wall is the setting for schools of barracuda, and Nyamba Club reports hammerhead and whitetip reef sharks here. Wannadive describes beautiful coral fields and rates the biological interest of the site as outstanding.
