El Encanto

El Encanto is a wall just off the coast of María la Gorda, riddled with tunnels and caves. Large tunnels at depths of about 18 m to 25 m let divers zigzag through the wall. Marine life ranges from nudibranchs and arrow crabs to visiting barracuda and stingrays. Because the site is so popular, many divers can stir up the water and reduce the otherwise very good visibility. The fan site describes it as a dive for intermediate to advanced divers, and EcuRed calls it one of the most beautiful sites in the area.
