Rivaz Minoterie
Also known as: Rivaz Minoteries
The cliff begins only a few metres down, at about 6 to 9 m, and continues to depths of around 80 m. Its best-known feature is a trident, the emblem of the Club Sport Subaquatique de Lausanne, set at about 30 m in 1977 for the club's 20th anniversary. Divers usually descend to the trident and then follow the top of the cliff back to the entry. From the monument a long swim at 10 to 15 m leads to the Rivaz Gare cliff. A river beside the site can reduce visibility, and strong currents are possible.
