North Ema

Also known as: Ema North · North Ema Reef · North Emma · North Emma Reef

North Ema's signature is a deep pinnacle linked to the main reef by a coral bridge, both covered in gorgonian sea fans with white polyps over red skeletons and an understorey of leather coral. Because time on the deep bommie is short, divers usually finish with a shallower lap around the main reef. Its east side is a near-sheer wall lined with anemones and pink anemonefish, and the south end is a gentler hard coral slope where barracuda sometimes pass. Underwater Asia reports hammerhead sightings here.
