Nanabanzaki

Also known as: Cape No. 7 · 7banzaki · 七番崎 (Japanese)

Diving WG notes that the large green turtles here contrast with the smaller hawksbills across the channel at Turtle Paradise. Young turtles rest on the shallow reef tops while very large ones often lie on the deeper sand offshore. In spring giant cuttlefish come to lay their eggs, and spotted eagle rays and Napoleon wrasse are sometimes met over the sand. When the current runs at a good angle divers can glide along without swimming, but it can also run in opposite directions near the shore and offshore.
