Kuroshima South

Also known as: Kuroshima Minami · 黒島南 (Japanese)

Numerous crevices run across the site, and holes in their sides hold the resting places of whitetip reef sharks. Divers drift along the coral slope from the southern end towards the north, watching damselfish, purple queens and passing fusiliers. A patch of soft corals offers a resting point where the current eases. Turtles and dogtooth tuna are seen, and in summer mantas coming from the nearby cleaning stations can appear. Large sea fans offshore may hide small gobies.
