Kuroshima Rippyo
Also known as: 黒島立標 (Japanese) · 黒島南立標前 (Japanese)
The marker was put up so that boats would not run aground on the rock that barely breaks the surface. The current is fast here, and sea fans and orange anthias colour the bottom red. From summer into autumn manta rays visit, and divers wait at several rocks guessing where they will appear. Diving WG advises staying low near the bottom, because mantas swim off when approached from above. Liberte recommends at least 50 dives because the site is often dived as a full drift.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
