Munseom Saekki Island

Also known as: Little Munsum · Baby Island

Saekki Island, the little sister of Munseom, lies right beside the main island off Seogwipo harbour. Divers are often landed on the islet and enter the water down a metal chain, then dive around both islands and the channel between them. Fixed ropes under water help divers hold their position and pass the channel when the current runs. The rock walls and boulders are covered with soft corals and kelp, and local guides point out bluestriped angelfish, stripeys, morwongs and damselfish. Dive centres describe it as suitable from open water level up to advanced nitrox divers.
