Cabezo de las Isabelitas
From the mooring buoy, divers drop onto a field of coral outcrops surrounded by sand, with star, lettuce and brain corals. Towards the wall the terrain becomes more rugged and the fish life denser, with snappers, goatfish, parrotfish, hamlets, angelfish and trumpetfish. Green-tipped anemones share the coral heads with tube and vase sponges. Small sandy channels cut steeply through the coral down to the edge of the wall, which gives the dive its character. The amount of marine life is why the site is described as a favourite for underwater photographers.
