Conception Rocks
Also known as: Conception Rock
Conception Rocks is one of Big Blue Divers' long-distance sites, about 35 to 40 minutes by boat from Beau Vallon. Divers back-roll in, circle the small island and are picked up wherever the dive ends, and the current is usually strong. Batfish, schooling jacks and fusiliers, groupers, hump-head parrotfish and barracuda gather along the rocks. Stingrays, eagle rays, turtles and octopus are regular sightings, and grey reef sharks and whale sharks turn up in season.
