MT Hephaestus

The tanker was about 60 m long and was cleaned and prepared for divers before sinking. From the Red Bay shore the swim to the wreck takes about 20 minutes, past a drop-off of around 40 m, so it is planned as a decompression dive for advanced or technical divers. Visibility is often 20 to 30 m, and the wreck is still in very good condition. It lies near the three older wrecks of Xatt l-Aħmar.
